Lombard Construction Services Provides Architectural Repair Services For A Southern California University

Lombard Construction Services, Inc. (LCS), the construction arm of Lombard Consulting Services, Inc. recently completed reconstruction contract documents for a complex reroof of a multi-story laboratory / office building for a Southern California University.

As Architect-of-Record, LCS and its consultants performed visual and intrusive investigations to determine the scope of repair and suitability of the proposed repair design. The LCS design team prepared architectural and structural contract documents including a budget cost estimate and coordinated closely with the University’s mechanical / electrical / plumbing consultant as part of the HVAC equipment repair and replacement scope.

The building had undergone multiple renovations over the years and the scope of repair included removal of abandoned roof elements, repair and / or replacement of water damaged components and replacement of the existing large mechanical units with new units meeting the current University Standards and associated structural strengthening upgrades.
